Shwetamber Jain Temple in Silawatwari, Udaipur Mulnayak: Nearly 87 cms high, white-coloured idol of Bhagwan Chanda Parshvanath without a hood and in the Padmasana posture. Tirth: It is on the palace road in Udaipur city. Historicity: The name of Udaipur reminds us of brave adventures of the heroic Rana Pratap. This city of Udaipur was established by Rana Udaysingh and it is surrounded by hills on all sides which  is like a natural fortress. This city has a population of more than three lakhs of people and among them more than 50 thousand people are Jains. This chief city of Mewar is an important tirth of Jains. Many ancient temples in this city are beautiful and alluring. On this pinnacled temple of Bhagwan Chanda Parshvanath, there is an inscription, of the year 1325 of the Vikram era. This ancient temple was renovated by Shri Raghunathsinghji Khabia in the year 1982 of the Vikram era. Glazed tiles on the walls and the painting on the ceiling are attractive. This idol of Parshvanath in Udaipur is also known as Udaipur Parshvanath. Other Temples: There are as many as 40 temples here. The one and only temple of Shri Padmanabh Swami, who is going to be the first Thirthankara of the coming Chouvisi is here. Works of art and Sculpture: Udaipur has witnessed many glorious historical events. Many buildings, lakes,forts and palaces are present here.
