History
Shree Sacha SumatiNath, Palitana Babu Shree MadhavLalji Duggad, a resident of Kolkata constructed the temple in Vikram Samvat 1958 in the centre of Shree Babu MadhavLal Dharmashala, which is on the Taleti Road of Shree Shatrunjay Giriraj. The enchanting idol of presiding deity Shree SumatiNath Bhagwan is from the times of King Samprati and is black in colour. The renovation work of this temple was inspired by Sadhvi Shree SajjanShreeji and ShashiPrabhaShreeji. This work was done in two phases by the acceptance of the heir of the Duggad family, Babu UjjwalKumarji, under the name of “Shree Sumati Kushal Sajjan Seva Nyas”. In the first phase, Bhaktamar Mandir with 44 shrines dedicated to 44 Shlokas, a DadaWadi as well as a Guru Patta Parampara Mandir was constructed. The installation of these shrines was done with the blessings of Upadhyay Shree ManiPrabhaSagarji Maharaj Saheb on Magh Sud 7th day of Vikram Samvat 2059. In the second phase, the main temple of Shree SumatiNath was renovated right from the base and the idol was re-installed on Magh Sud 13th day of Vikram Samvat 2063. This was completed in the presence and blessings of Acharya Shree JinKailashSagarSuriji Maharaj Saheb and Upadhyay Shree ManiPrabhaSagarji Maharaj Saheb. There are a total of 64 idols of Arihant Tirthankar in this temple.
